New horizons is such a wonderful organization run by a woman with a giant heart, Laura Cordova. She welcomes volunteers into her own home or places them with people she knows close by. This organization does its best to help anyone in the country who needs help in whatever way they need it. Volunteers have been in medical clinics, playing with children in daycares, building bathrooms, teaching english and many other jobs. The best part is you can go for as long as you want, anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 years! and the type of volunteer work you do is tailored to your interests and skills!
