The house is comfortable house with several people (volunteers). It is kept very clean. There is plenty of room space and a nice dining room area with a nice sized porch that was great for socialisation after work. The staffs are great! They take really great care of all the volunteers. The cooking is great, they help you with laundry. They always say “good morning” and “how are you”. It is also wonderful that they brought us lunch at our placements. If I came to Ghana again I wouldn’t want to with anybody else.
My placement was wonderful, I got the opportunity to teach and meet some wonderful kids and staff. The staffs made us feel important to the daily operation and extremely welcome. At my placement I was able to do things or teach things I was comfortable with but I was also able to challenge myself and put myself out of my comfort zone. This was good because it enabled me to grow as a person.
Our tours of Ghana were awesome. I was able to experience more culture and learned a lot. Most of all I had fun. Going to see the cape coast castle was a very neat experience that made me think. I loved the canopy walk. It was amazing and it was great to be in a rain forest in nature like that. Seeing the street girls’ aid project in Accra was also an eye opening experience but it was great to know there are people that care and want to make a difference.
Overall, my trip to Ghana was great. I would also highly recommend it to others.

The house was always very clean. But I would recommend telling volunteers about the power and the water not always working. I would have loved to know that.It is only because I would have come more prepared. The food was very good. My placement at countryside good. The first week we spent time with the little ones. This week, I would have loved to change placements but my Professor said no. I loved the tours.

Franklin, Wisdom, Doris and Josephine have all been very nice, accommodating and able to meet all of my needs. The staff has been absolutely excellent. Also I really appreciate that my personal belongings were safe and secure.
The headmaster and teachers at my placement seemed grateful for our presence at the school. We were able to teach about American culture as well as learn about Ghana's culture. The older children were very inquisitive and interested in learning. The staff made adjustments to meet our needs and incorporate us into the school day.
I loved the two days we toured Accra, Cape Coast and Kakum National Park. The highlight for me was the Cape Coast Castle and the history of slavery. Franklin and Wisdom were wonderful hosts

Doris, Josephine,Wisdom and Franklin were wonderful to us. They went above and beyond to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. My work at Marvellous international school was both rewarding and frustrating. Frustrating in the sense that I feel if I had more time, I could really impact some wisdom to the children. Rewarding in that I think in my two weeks stay there, I think I actually got through to some of the students.
Both Friday and Saturday’s tours were fantastic. I could spend a whole day at Kakum National Park. I was quite moved at the Cape Coast Castle, it was an amazing experience. Franklin and Wisdom were wonderful hosts and tour guides

I really enjoyed this experience. When we first arrived at the homebase, everyone helped with getting my group and I settled. The staff helped make our beds and instructed us to how to have a bugless night. The staff at the homebase made sure we were well taken care of day in and day out. I really enjoyed my stay at the homebase
While volunteering in Ghana, I was placed at the countryside orphanage. It was a good experience. The women at the orphanage prepared a wonderful lunch during my volunteer stay. The children made sure we didn’t take our dishes from the table. They were there to take them away.the children at the orphanage were very friendly and welcoming.I enjoyed the experience. I was able to work with the babies and work in the classrooms. It was awesome working with the children.
After volunteering for about a week, my group and went on two tours. One was on Friday and the other was on Saturday. They were both amazing.it was wonderful learning about the history of Ghana and the slaves. It was also amazing going to the rain forest.i enjoyed seeing and learning about the different programs Ghana has to offer, young homeless women and people that had leprosy. The tours were amazing and very educational. I would love to revisit Ghana. I really enjoyed my time here.
