A few fun facts about ITTP:
1). There is no central headquarters despite it saying so on the website.
2). According to several eyewitness accounts and photograps, the accommodations were abysmal and the price was ludicrously hilariously high. Not to mention a giant mold infestation in the bathroom makes it a health hazard. BEWARE.
3). There was absolutely no “job placement”. We were given a pices of paper with a list of website links (many of which are dead) to find work all by ourselves.
4). The class was bigger than promised.
5) There were barely any teaching practice hours--far below the amount required for a valid certificate.
6) The practice students did not show up regularly.
7). The exam was poorly designed and did not reflect what we were taught. The exam was probably made by the director himself and not a genuine exam—there was no seal or any distinguishing marks to show its authenticity. According to sources, the exam is graded by the director's wife lending weight to the said statement that the test was homemade.
8). No feedback was returned to us to guide us in improving our teaching.
9). Neville (the Director of ITTP) made threats against previous students who complained of the legitimate wrongs done to them via blog, and made the students take down the blog. Neville seems to be an administrator on TEFL review sites and takes down any reviews at will as well as fabricates positive reviews for himself.
10). The final certificate given does not look authentic—it looks like it was made on Microsoft Word.
11). One positive fact however: the instructor is wonderful.
Bottom line: ITTP is a BAD CHOICE. Find a better TEFL program! Many are out there!
