Academic Studies Abroad

I absolutely fell in love with ASA as soon as I signed up. They are so helpful from step A to step Z, from getting you on the plane to your destination to making sure you get home safely. When I was in Spain I never once felt like I was out of the loop with anything that pertained to my study abroad experience. My site director was amazingly helpful, and to this day we keep in contact and I can't wait to go back and visit her and my host family! If I can give you one word of advice, if you are feeling skeptical about which company to travel with or which city will fit your needs best, contact ASA because they are outstanding people who are here to help you.

Academic Studies Abroad

Academic Studies Abroad could not have been a better program to choose for my semester abroad. They held my hand through the entire process of preparing for the experience, and they helped me with any questions that arose when I was overseas. Every ASA employee that I encountered was friendly and helpful. My group was small, and my site director became close friends with everyone. She was able to help me with all of my issues, such as overcoming the language barrier and which classes I should take. If you are a student planning to study abroad, I would highly recommend ASA.

Academic Studies Abroad

My home university did not have an affiliate for London, so I was uneasy with the whole process of studying abroad. I came across ASA and those feelings quickly changed. They helped with every detail regarding the whole process. They got me ready for my new home. I could email them a question, and I always got a response almost immediately. They were there every moment of the way. An ASA representative was even there to pick us up from the airport in London! It was a comforting feeling having them there, and showing us around our new city. Even while living in our new city, and attending our new host university, an ASA rep was always a quick email away. I highly recommend ASA to any prospective travelers! They helped make my amazing experience truly unforgettable.

Global Vision International (GVI)

Without a doubt I would encourage anyone to go on a GVI expedition! I just returned from an amazing 5 weeks in the Seychelles and am hoping to take part in another expedition at some point in the future.
I found the whole experience well organised, personal and smooth from general enquiry to returning to the UK. I found the staff to be really friendly and helpful, and were always happy to answer any questions I had, no matter how trivial! My emails were replied to quickly which was reassuring and after applying (which I did about 8 months before I actually left) I had regular email contact to provide more specific information and answer questions.
When I arrived in the Seychelles I was met at the airport and taken to the base, which was about 30 seconds walk away from a beautiful bay where we went diving each day. The staff on base were brilliant - most of them having been volunteers in the past, then interns before becoming staff and so had a vast amount of knowledge of the area and base, and knew the answer to almost every question or problem which could arise!
The expedition wrote a weekly blog which was uploaded onto the website which was great for family and friends to keep updated with what we were doing.
Overall I think every £ spent was worth it. I came back an Advanced, Rescue, Coral Reef Research Diver with some lifelong friends and unforgetable memories.
